Risk Management professionals play an active role in a health care organization’s clinical activities, risk financing, regulatory, and business issues. They are committed to patient safety and work to prevent serious safety events by identifying and eliminating risks. They are also the go-to-professionals in a crisis and bring expertise to situation management. Health Care Risk Managers work with all members in the organization to help with strategic planning, processes evaluation and clinical and business issues. Risk Management professionals seek to continuously improve organizations by positively influencing the healthcare industry; this includes utilizing available resources and ensuring safe and effective care through the use of best practices and evidenced based resources.
